Kernel 2.6.26 patch for legacy driver 96.43.05

Linux kernel 2.6.26 has just been released.

As we know, many linux servers are using old, basic display cards.

Would there be a 2.6.26 diff/patch for the legacy nvidia display driver 96.43.05?

Is it necessary to apply the following patch (for kernel 2.6.25)as well:?

NVIDIA_kernel-96.43.05-2290218.diff

Oh no... really need to apply the 2.6.25 patch first, not the virgin 96.43.05 driver.

Yes, you need to add both patches in order. Everything seems to be working fine for me so far.

Thanks. BUT, there is still no official driver from Nvidia, not even one for 2.6.25 kernel.

I meant something like 96.43.06 or 96.43.05.1 ....
